A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you delete an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the very same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial if you run a business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to get only real email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be very easy if you’ve got a shared website hosting plan with us. You can activate the feature through our powerful, yet easy-to-use Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your hosting account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created enumerated alphabetically and on the right side of each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately reveal to you if a certain mailbox stores all the emails for a given domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you like. In case there’s active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a warning text message from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically and without your approval.
