POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts
There are a couple of types of e-mail accounts out there - discover more about their pros and cons.
In case you have a domain name and a web hosting package for it, you will be able to create email accounts for personal or business purposes and to set them up with clients such as Thunderbird, Apple Mail or Outlook. During the process, you’ll be able to pick one of the two popular email delivery protocols – IMAP or POP3. The first protocol will allow you to see all email messages, but they will stay on the email server, whereas with the second one, all messages will be downloaded on the device where the mailbox is set up, unless you specifically select a copy to be saved on the server. In this way, you can choose if you’d like all your email communication to be stored on a single device, or if you would rather be able to see the email messages from numerous places. The second option is very handy for corporations where different employees working on different machines need to gain access to a given email account.
POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Shared Website Hosting
Each and every shared website hosting plan that we offer will permit you to create email accounts with any domain hosted under your account and to set them up on any device. During the setup process, you can select between the IMAP and the POP3 protocols, as we support both, so you can decide which one to rely on based on your preferences and the purpose of your account – you may want to download all email messages in case you have a personal account and to save the messages on the server – in case you have a business account, for instance. The Email Manager tool, which is part of our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel, permits you to download and run a small auto-config file, so as to set up a mailbox with an email program – Apple Mail, Thunderbird or Outlook. You can even use your smartphone to examine your email messages and we have added an in-depth tutorial on how to perform this on an iPhone or an Android phone.
